Assist Plant Manager in all aspects of daily plant and production operations.
Education &
Experience:
Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, College degree is preferred.
Two years of supervisory and manufacturing experience in the food industry preferred.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to organize and effectively manage a team and able to work well with all levels of personnel.
Specific Skills Required:
This individual must have good communication skills both orally and in writing.
Confidentiality is required for the protection of employees' personal information, customer information and production formulas.
Basic computer knowledge to include MS Word and Excel required.
Additionally, the individual must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with short timelines, have a strong attention to detail, be a self-starter and have office appearance and demeanor as required.
Preferred Skills:
Critical thinking, time management, basic knowledge of inventory control, staffing and record keeping.
Essential Functions:
These essential functions are primary job duties that this individual must be able to perform Assist Plant Manager in daily supervision over every aspect of plant and production operations Assist in scheduling plant and production operations Ensure that all documentation related to production is filled out timely and correctly.
Ensure all departments have all necessary tools required to perform daily tasks Ensure that all employees are receiving adequate training Coordinate with Plant Manager to conduct regular meetings to ensure all needs are met for daily operations Assist Plant Manager, Human Resources and Leads with employment and staffing issues Ensure all the company policies on safety, food safety, food defense, and GMP's are followed by each department Communicate effectively with Quality Assurance to resolve issues with raw materials, production and finished product Other duties assigned by Plant Manager Working Conditions/Environmental/Physical Demands:
Ability to work in a production environment that can be slippery and wet with temperature ranges from cold to hot.
Ability to stand and walk for 8
hours.
This position can require lifting of up to 50 pounds several times daily.
Overtime hours may be required during periods of high workload.
